The state-owned China Railway reported that the 12306 system employs big data analysis and risk control technologies to identify accounts and payment profiles engaged in suspicious activities. These include frequent attempts to purchase tickets for individuals other than the account holder and automated purchasing operations that mimic user behavior.
According to official statements, over 7.1 million transactions have been placed in a slower queue, and approximately 1.3 million tickets have been outright refused. The company also warned travelers against using third-party platforms, stating that such services do not increase success rates and may lead to slower purchases or outright failures.
