Bispecific antibodies can bind to two distinct antigens simultaneously. Their application in cancer therapy often involves redirecting immune cells to eliminate cancer cells. Advances in antibody engineering have led to the development of new formats, with approvals escalating, particularly since 2022.

To date, 13 bispecific antibodies have been launched, including Elrexfio™, Talvey™, Epkinly™, Columvi™, and Cadonilimab, which received approval in 2023. Other previously approved therapies include Tecvayli™, Vabysmo™, and Lunsumio™.
