17 Windows 11 Endpoint Security Packages Tested
The AV-TEST Institute evaluated the protection capabilities, performance, and false alarm rates of 17 Windows 11 endpoint security solutions intended for corporate users.

The AV-TEST Institute has tested 17 endpoint security solutions for Windows 11 aimed at corporate users. The assessments focused on the software's ability to protect company Windows PCs, which are a significant attack surface for businesses.
The evaluation examined the solutions' protection effectiveness, their impact on office PC performance, and their susceptibility to false alarms. The tests utilized over 20,000 malware samples and 900,000 benign files to gauge the security vendors' reliability in securing employee Windows 11 client PCs.
The products evaluated came from vendors including Avast, Bitdefender, Check Point, ESET, HP Security, Huawei, Kaspersky (two versions), Legendsec, Microsoft, Microworld, Qualys, Seqrite, Sophos, Symantec, Trellix, and WithSecure. The security products were tested using vendor-specified configurations and the latest available product versions.
Conducted in March and April 2025, the tests assessed protection capabilities against "zero-day" malware and a reference set of recently discovered threats. Eleven products achieved a 100 percent detection rate, identifying all attackers. These included Avast, Bitdefender, ESET, HP Security, Kaspersky (both versions), Legendsec, Microsoft, Symantec, Trellix, and WithSecure. Several other products scored very highly, while Check Point's offering received notably lower scores for protection.
