1stMILE rolls out Level 3 EV charging program for repair shops
Automotive financial services firm 1stMILE has launched a turnkey EV charging program that installs fast-charging infrastructure at independent shops with no upfront costs.

1stMILE, a platform providing financial services to the automotive aftermarket, is entering the electric vehicle charging market. The company’s new program allows tire dealerships and independent repair shops to host Level 3 fast-charging stations without the capital expenditure typically associated with installation, permits, and equipment hardware.
Under the revenue-sharing model, shop owners earn a percentage of the charging fees. Because Level 3 chargers can bring most vehicles to 80% charge in 20 to 40 minutes, the company suggests that the wait time provides an opportunity for service staff to upsell routine maintenance services such as battery checks and brake inspections.
"EV drivers need a fast, reliable charge and a shop they can trust," said Kyle Lindor, VP of EV Charging at 1stMILE. The firm plans to debut the infrastructure at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where it will be showcased at booth #24713.
