1xBet establishes 1xCare as independent player protection division
Betting operator 1xBet has launched 1xCare, a Cyprus-based division tasked with managing player protection and responsible gambling initiatives across its global operations.

International betting operator 1xBet has launched 1xCare, a standalone entity headquartered in Cyprus designed to oversee player protection, harm prevention, and responsible gambling strategies. The division is tasked with shifting safety initiatives from basic regulatory compliance to a core operational focus.
The initiative operates through four key pillars: a research hub for behavioral studies, an education unit for industry stakeholders, automated technical safeguards, and social support services. By restructuring these functions into an independent body, 1xBet aims to standardize its safety approach across diverse jurisdictions.
Simon Westbury, who has been appointed chairperson of the division, stated that 1xCare is intended to operate with long-term accountability, emphasizing transparency and collaboration with external industry bodies. The structure allows for independent decision-making, separate from the company's immediate commercial priorities.
This move aligns with a broader industry trend where operators face increasing pressure from regulators to implement robust, evidence-based safety measures. The establishment of 1xCare serves as a central point for managing these requirements as 1xBet continues to expand into strictly regulated markets.
