1xCare signs partnership with Spanish addiction group FEJAR

The responsible gambling organization 1xCare has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Spanish federation for gambling rehabilitation, Federación Española de Jugadores de Azar Rehabilitados (FEJAR). The agreement aims to reduce gambling-related harm, improve access to professional support, and promote education on responsible gambling practices.

A key component of the partnership is the maintenance of FEJAR's institutional independence. 1xCare, established as the responsible gaming arm of the Cyprus-based betting firm 1xBet, has confirmed that the arrangement is non-commercial and unconditional. FEJAR will retain full authority over its clinical methods and decision-making processes, ensuring that the partnership does not influence its internal therapeutic standards.

In an industry where the separation between commercial operators and support services is frequently under regulatory scrutiny, both organizations have emphasized transparency. FEJAR President Gerardo Rodriguez Velo and 1xCare Chairperson Simon Westbury stated that the collaboration seeks to utilize 1xCare's resources to bolster FEJAR’s existing expertise, ultimately bridging gaps in support accessibility for individuals in Spain.
