3D Artist Buys Used Graphics Card Signed by Nvidia CEO
A 3D artist purchased a used graphics card that was discovered to be signed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The unique item is now up for auction.
Tech media outlet Tom's Hardware reported on September 25 that a 3D artist acquired a rare Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 graphics card from the second-hand market, found to be signed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.
The artist reportedly bought two Nvidia RTX 5090 cards to advance their 3D projects. The seller had claimed the card bore a signature from an Asus executive, but upon opening the package, the artist found it to be Huang's autograph.
The card in question is a white Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 White OC version featuring a triple-fan design. Reports indicate the box was unopened and the graphics card was unused. The artist has decided against using the card for their projects following the discovery.
It has since been consigned to Bonhams for auction, with online bidding scheduled from October 4 to 14. The estimated sale price ranges from $10,000 to $15,000.
