Chinese 3D-printing firm Baishida has secured an angel-plus funding round from Still Water Lake Venture Partners. The company, which previously received backing from GL Ventures, did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
The capital will be directed toward manufacturing operations, research and development, and talent acquisition. Baishida, based in Ningbo, specializes in Layered Membrane Stereolithography, a resin-based printing process that utilizes laser scanning and membrane transfer to accommodate high-viscosity materials.
The startup is currently preparing for the commercial launch of its first product. The company’s founding team includes veterans with backgrounds in printing algorithms, hardware engineering, and prior experience from Lenovo’s printer division.
