49ers Coach Says Tesla Was on Autopilot During Crash

San Francisco 49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed that his Tesla vehicle was utilizing Autopilot features during an accident that occurred approximately four weeks ago near downtown Palo Alto. At the time of the crash, Shanahan initially stated only that the accident was his fault.

During a recent press conference, Shanahan provided further details, acknowledging the Autopilot's engagement. However, he reiterated that the responsibility for the crash rested with him, regardless of the driver-assist system's status.

"I've had Autopilot for nine years, so I'm pretty comfortable with it and, you know, who knows what happened when I turned around?"
