6K Additive has executed a final loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) for a $27.4 million financing facility. The funds will support the expansion of the company's U.S. manufacturing capacity for critical materials used in aerospace, defense, and advanced industrial applications.

6K Additive Inc. has finalized a loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) for a $27.4 million secured financing facility. The company stated the loan will support the expansion of its domestic manufacturing capacity in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, to increase production of nickel, titanium, and other advanced metal powders.
The financing is available for drawdown through June 30, 2028, with a six-year term. It includes an initial 12-month interest-only period, followed by principal amortization over the remaining five years. This loan is part of EXIM's "Make More in America Initiative," aimed at strengthening U.S. supply chains for critical industries.
According to CEO Frank Roberts, the agreement is a significant milestone, reinforcing the strategic importance of domestic production for essential materials. The funding will enable capacity expansion while preserving the company's existing capital for growth.
6K Additive utilizes its UniMelt® technology to produce metal powders from domestic feedstocks, meeting stringent quality and traceability requirements for aerospace and defense sectors, including DFARS compliance. The expansion project involves constructing four new buildings and acquiring advanced manufacturing equipment.
