6K Secures $250 Million Conditional Loan Commitment for Tennessee Facility
The U.S. Department of War has issued a $250 million conditional loan commitment to 6K Inc. to support the construction of a cathode active material production facility in Tennessee.

6K Inc. has reached a conditional financing agreement with the U.S. Department of War for a $250 million loan. The capital is designated for the development of the company’s PlusCAM manufacturing plant located in Jackson, Tennessee.
The investment aims to bolster domestic production capacity for cathode active materials, a vital component in battery technology. By expanding U.S.-based manufacturing, the project seeks to mitigate supply chain risks and decrease reliance on external battery component providers.
The loan remains subject to final technical and legal requirements before funds are dispersed. This initiative aligns with broader federal efforts to secure the domestic battery supply chain for critical industrial and national security applications.
