7Artisans Launches New M4/3 Lenses at 25mm and 35mm F1.7
Manufacturer 7Artisans has released two new autofocus lenses for the Micro Four Thirds (M4/3) system: the 25mm F1.7 Air and 35mm F1.7 Air. The lenses are now available for sale in China.
7Artisans, a camera lens manufacturer, has officially launched two new autofocus lenses designed for the Micro Four Thirds (M4/3) camera system. The 25mm F1.7 Air and 35mm F1.7 Air lenses are now available in China, priced at 889 yuan (approximately $123 USD) each.
These lenses represent 7Artisans' entry into the autofocus lens market for M4/3. Both lenses utilize an STM stepping motor for quiet and efficient autofocus operation. The 25mm F1.7 Air lens features an optical construction of 10 elements in 12 groups and a minimum focusing distance of 0.3 meters. The 35mm F1.7 Air lens has a configuration of 9 elements in 11 groups with a minimum focusing distance of 0.33 meters.
With their F1.7 maximum aperture, these lenses are designed to perform well in low-light conditions and offer creative control over depth of field. The standard focal lengths of 25mm and 35mm (equivalent to 50mm and 70mm on a full-frame sensor) make them suitable for a variety of photographic genres, including portraiture and everyday shooting.
The release of these autofocus lenses marks an expansion for 7Artisans, which has previously focused on manual focus optics. This move allows the company to compete more directly in the M4/3 system market, offering users more options for autofocus capabilities.
