8BitDo Launches New Arcade Controller for Chinese Market
8BitDo has released its Arcade Controller Pro (天刃星 Pro) in China, priced at 699 yuan. The controller features a compact layout, integrated display, and hot-swappable buttons.
Tech accessory maker 8BitDo has officially launched its Arcade Controller Pro (天刃星 Pro) in China. The controller is available for purchase at a launch price of 699 yuan (approximately $96 USD) and includes a complimentary storage case.
The Arcade Controller Pro introduces several key upgrades, including a compact button layout and an integrated 1.47-inch smart display. It also features hot-swappable button switches, allowing for easy customization, and built-in RGB backlighting. The device comes standard with Kailh Box White switches, designed for competitive play, offering a low actuation point of 0.8mm.
Ergonomics have been improved with a reduced body thickness, down from 22mm to 16mm, compared to previous models. The controller includes a magnetic wrist rest and an integrated compartment for storing accessories. The USB-C port on the top features a cable lock mechanism, and an additional USB-C port is located on the left side. The tempered glass panel is designed for quick detachment.
8BitDo has also focused on minimizing latency, reporting 2.08ms over USB, 3.7ms via 2.4GHz wireless, and 5ms via Bluetooth. Powering the device is a 3000mAh battery, which is rated for over 40 hours of use on a single charge. The launch is currently exclusive to the Chinese market, with no immediate plans announced for international availability.
