8BitDo releases Ultimate 3E controller for Xbox and PC
8BitDo has introduced the $150 Ultimate 3E controller, targeting the premium gaming peripheral market with advanced customization features.
Peripheral manufacturer 8BitDo has launched the Ultimate 3E, a $150 game controller designed for Xbox and PC platforms. The device enters a competitive market segment currently dominated by high-end offerings like the Xbox Elite Series 2.
Key technical features of the Ultimate 3E include drift-resistant TMR joysticks, modular components for buttons and sticks, and programmable rear paddles. The controller also incorporates motion control support, attempting to provide a comprehensive feature set for users seeking granular control customization.
While the hardware provides significant versatility, early assessments note that the exterior finish exhibits signs of wear quickly during normal use. The product represents a strategic expansion for 8BitDo as it moves away from its entry-level roots to compete directly with first-party premium hardware.
