9 Neocloud Startups to Watch, According to Investors

European investors have identified nine promising neocloud startups that could strengthen the region's technological independence. The selections come amid growing concerns over Europe's reliance on foreign cloud providers, particularly with the boom in artificial intelligence.

Investors from firms including Episode 1 Ventures, Giant Ventures, Oldenburg Capital Partners, Northzone, and Antler have named companies focused on defence, semiconductors, and cloud technology in an effort to reduce the continent's vulnerability.

Among the highlighted companies is Defense-in-a-Box, which develops ready-made AI solutions for defence applications. Vercel, a platform for web developers, is also noted for securing significant funding rounds.

Another identified company is Vinted, a second-hand fashion marketplace originating from Lithuania, which has seen substantial expansion and attracted notable investment. Its growth in Europe has been supported by strong local demand and investment.
