A+ Federal Credit Union Celebrates Fifth Annual A+ Gives Day with Volunteerism
A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) marked its fifth annual A+ Gives Day with employee volunteer service and a community voting initiative that awarded $10,000 to local nonprofits.
A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) celebrated its fifth annual A+ Gives Day by organizing volunteer service events for its employees and distributing $10,000 to local non-profit organizations through a voting campaign.
On October 12, 2026, A+FCU employees volunteered with non-profit organizations across Texas and the nation. Activities focused on community outreach, park cleanup, animal welfare, and food insecurity. Remote employees also participated in local volunteer efforts.
The $10,000 donation was allocated among five non-profit organizations, each receiving $2,000, following a public online voting campaign. The initiative originated in 2019 as an employee-led project during the credit union's 70th anniversary.
Last year, over 490 employees contributed more than 1,500 hours of volunteer work at 74 organizations. Founded by 50 teachers in Austin, Texas, A+FCU continues its commitment to community support through volunteerism and financial contributions.
