A1 SolarStore launches in Europe with AI-powered direct solar buying platform

US-based solar equipment supplier A1 SolarStore has launched an artificial intelligence-powered online platform in Europe, aiming to simplify solar panel procurement and reduce reliance on traditional distributors. The platform offers real-time visibility into available solar panels and equipment across Europe, helps identify competitive nearby offers, and allows homeowners, installers, and commercial buyers to order directly without trade accounts or minimum order quantities. A1 SolarStore states that its new model addresses common European market challenges such as relationship-based pricing, distributor markups, limited inventory transparency, and shipping constraints tied to individual warehouses. Through the system, customers can purchase anything from a single pallet to equipment for a large-scale project, with deliveries possible within days via the company's manufacturer relationships and partner warehouse network. The European solar sector is experiencing significant growth. Solar energy supplied 13% of the EU's electricity in 2025, and new solar capacity additions reached a record 65.5 GW in 2024. Germany had registered over one million balcony solar installations by June 2025. A1 SolarStore was founded in the US in 2017 and has supplied over 1 GW of solar equipment in North America. According to the company, the European market remains heavily dependent on legacy distribution systems. A1 SolarStore is now introducing its direct e-commerce model, familiar from North America, to a region where it aims to provide easy searching, local delivery, and market-based pricing without distributor markups.
