AAC Technologies and Soundskrit Partner on Directional Microphone Technology
AAC Technologies and Soundskrit are partnering to bring directional MEMS microphone technology to consumer electronics and automotive markets. The technology aims to improve voice clarity and background noise reduction.
Hong Kong – AAC Technologies Holdings Inc. and Soundskrit have announced a partnership aimed at commercializing new directional microphone technologies. The new MEMS directional microphones offer the ability to isolate sound sources and reduce background noise with greater precision than traditional microphones.
The technology enables improved audio clarity and new sound features across a range of devices, including laptops, webcams, smart speakers, televisions, and vehicles. The directional microphones significantly enhance speech intelligibility and minimize unwanted ambient sounds.
Soundskrit contributes its expertise in spatial audio processing, MEMS technology, and acoustic design to the collaboration. AAC Technologies, an established provider of sensing technologies, will lead the further development and integration of the technology for global OEM customers.
The partnership intends to develop next-generation audio features that enhance communication across various devices. Both wireless earbuds and in-cabin audio systems in vehicles are expected to benefit from the new technology.
