AAOMS Appoints New Officers and Trustees for 2026-2027 Term

The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) confirmed its 2026-2027 leadership slate during the organization's annual meeting in Seattle. Dr. Charles A. Crago, who brings extensive experience from private practice and committee service, succeeds outgoing president Dr. Robert S. Clark.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Crago outlined his focus on the public service mission of oral and maxillofacial surgeons, emphasizing that high-quality, safe daily clinical practice remains a central duty for practitioners. The leadership team also features Dr. Debra M. Sacco as president-elect and Dr. Martin E. Eichner as vice president.

Governance changes include the appointment of Dr. Daniel J. Meara to the Board of Trustees for District II, replacing Dr. Eichner. The organization continues to represent more than 9,000 surgeons, focusing on educational standards, legislative advocacy, and research support to facilitate the specialty's clinical practice.
