AAX Biotech and ToxoTech Partner to Develop Neurological Disorder Therapies
AAX Biotech and ToxoTech have announced a strategic collaboration to advance next-generation biotherapeutics for neurological disorders, utilizing AAX's Seqitope® platform.

AAX Biotech AB and ToxoTech AB have entered into a strategic collaboration aimed at developing novel biotherapeutics for neurological and neuromuscular disorders. The partnership marks a new application for AAX Biotech's proprietary Seqitope® platform, extending its use beyond antibody epitope mapping into the design of biologic drugs.
The co-development study will combine AAX's Seqitope® platform with ToxoTech's expertise in biologic drug design. The objective is to generate new therapeutic candidates with enhanced potency and precision by optimizing receptor recognition. This approach aims to create novel variants suitable for the treatment of neurological and neuromuscular indications.
Daniel X. Johansson, CEO/CSO of AAX Biotech, stated that the project represents an "exciting new application" for Seqitope®. He highlighted the platform's ability to guide rational design and accelerate the development of precision-engineered biologics. The collaboration seeks to leverage these capabilities to address unmet needs in treating neurological conditions.
Geoffrey Masuyer, CEO of ToxoTech, views the Seqitope® platform as a valuable complement to their existing discovery pipeline. He expressed confidence that the partnership with AAX Biotech will expedite the development of innovative therapies with the potential to significantly improve treatment options for patients suffering from neurological conditions.
