ABB and Rittal Partner on Future Electrical Distribution Technology
ABB and Rittal have formed a technology partnership to enhance the safety and speed of electrical infrastructure. The collaboration aims to accelerate the development of electrical distribution solutions for European and international markets.
Electrical technology firms ABB and Rittal have established a new technology partnership focused on improving the safety and speed of electrical distribution for future demands.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the development and expansion of electrical infrastructure across European and international markets. Joint development efforts will leverage Rittal's new RiLineX busbar system platform and Ri4Power modular system kit, integrated with ABB's leading switchgear technology and efficient uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.
The partnership combines ABB's expertise as a manufacturer of intelligent and secure power supply systems with Rittal's strengths in switchgear system technology and power distribution. Rittal indicates that the new RiLineX platform allows for 75 percent faster assembly and promotes a broader ecosystem among partners.
"We are transforming our long-standing collaboration with ABB in the field of uninterruptible power supply for data centers and switchgear for power distribution into a global technology partnership," stated Uwe Scharf, Managing Director Sales Germany and Europe at Rittal. "We will be expanding our RiLineX and Ri4Power platforms with joint innovations in the future."
According to ABB, the partnership merges advanced low-voltage technology and proven power distribution platforms to deliver enhanced outcomes for panel builders. Compatibility between ABB solutions, such as Tmax XT circuit breakers, and Rittal's Ri4Power systems aims to reduce complexity and shorten project timelines.
