AbbVie, Genmab Report Improved Progression-Free Survival for New Lymphoma Treatment
AbbVie and Genmab announced key positive results from the EPCORE DLBCL-2 Phase 3 study evaluating epcoritamab combined with R-CHOP.

AbbVie and Genmab have announced key positive results from their EPCORE DLBCL-2 Phase 3 study. The trial evaluated the combination of epcoritamab and R-CHOP chemotherapy in patients with newly diagnosed diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
The results demonstrated that epcoritamab in combination with R-CHOP significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) compared to R-CHOP alone. This marks the first time a bispecific antibody combination therapy has shown a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in PFS for first-line treatment in this patient population.
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is an aggressive cancer for which new treatment options are continuously sought. The positive study findings may offer a new therapeutic option for patients newly diagnosed with this condition.
The companies plan to present more detailed data at upcoming scientific meetings and engage in discussions with regulatory authorities regarding next steps. Approval of the new treatment could significantly impact treatment protocols for DLBCL patients.
