ABDA, BAK and DAV shape expopharm 2026 program

German pharmacy organizations ABDA, the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists (BAK), and the German Pharmacists Association (DAV) have significantly contributed to the program for expopharm 2026. The professional trade fair is scheduled to take place from September 15 to 17 in Munich.

On the opening day, September 15, Dr. Ina Lucas, Vice President of ABDA, will participate in a panel discussion on the future role of pharmacies in prevention and the use of diagnostic tests, particularly in light of the pharmacy reform. This reform expands the responsibilities of pharmacy teams in offering preventive services.

On Wednesday, September 16, Franziska Scharpf, Vice President of the Federal Chamber of Pharmacists, will discuss health policy frameworks within a panel focusing on the opportunities of prevention in the healthcare system. Representatives from the German Pharmacists Association (DAV), including Deputy Chair Anke Rüdinger and board member Dr. Jan-Niklas Francke, will engage in workshops and discussions on interprofessional cooperation and the industry's needs from pharmacies.

During the final day of the fair, Thursday, September 17, Dr. Ina Lucas will return to discuss the opportunities of digitalization for local pharmacies, specifically addressing the benefits of the electronic patient record (eMP). Dr. Florian Fuhrmann, CEO of gematik GmbH, will also be part of this panel. The expopharm fair will run concurrently with the German Pharmacists' Day 2026.
