ABDA Discusses Pandemic Lessons with Health Minister Spahn

The German Association of Pharmacists (ABDA) hosted a "Lass uns reden! – Der ABDA-Talk" discussion event on December 4, 2020, focusing on lessons learned from the pharmaceutical supply chain during the coronavirus pandemic.

Broadcast live via YouTube and Facebook from the German Pharmaceutical House, the event featured Health Minister Jens Spahn and ABDA President Friedemann Schmidt discussing the impacts of the pandemic on medicine supply. Gregor Waschinski from Handelsblatt moderated the discussion.

The talk aimed to evaluate the exceptional circumstances faced by German pharmacies during the first wave of the pandemic in spring 2020. ABDA Vice President Mathias Arnold provided an initial input on the situation.

Originally scheduled for November 25, the event was postponed due to a conference of state leaders. The discussion was streamed online, and related materials are available on ABDA's website.
