Aberdeen Investments Announces Shareholder Meeting Results

Aberdeen Investments U.S. Closed-End Funds announced the outcomes of their annual shareholder meetings held on September 29, 2026. The meetings addressed the election of trustees and votes on proposed changes to the funds' investment policies.

Gordon Baird was re-elected as a trustee for several funds, including Aberdeen Government Markets Income Fund (MGF), Aberdeen Intermediate Income Fund (MIN), and Aberdeen Multi-Market Income Fund (MMT). The Aberdeen Municipal Income Fund (MFM) also saw the election of trustees, including Nancy Yao and C. William Maher as preferred share directors.

Shareholders of the Aberdeen Multi-Market Income Fund (MMT) voted on a proposal to adopt a fundamental policy requiring the fund to maintain an investment portfolio with an average credit quality of investment grade under normal circumstances. The proposal did not pass, though the fund stated it intends to continue managing its portfolio with average investment-grade credit quality.

The meetings confirmed significant shareholder participation, ensuring quorum requirements were met across the funds, with MGF seeing 85.49% of outstanding shares voted. The announcement also included standard disclosures regarding the nature of closed-end fund shares trading on secondary markets and the potential for prices to deviate from net asset value.
