Absolut Vodka, owned by Pernod Ricard, is taking over London's Charing Cross Tube station for a two-day event titled "Haring Cross" on September 17-18. This activation is part of the global Absolut Haring launch and serves as a tribute to the iconic artist Keith Haring and his collaboration with Absolut Vodka in the 1980s.

The station's ticket hall and escalators will be redesigned, featuring two original Absolut Vodka paintings by Haring from 1986 displayed publicly in the UK for the first time. These artworks helped solidify Absolut Vodka's image in the art world and are returning to the underground, drawing a parallel to Haring's early artistic energy.

Reflecting Haring’s belief that "art is for everybody," commuters and visitors will also be able to collect a free poster featuring one of the displayed artworks, while supplies last. The event aims to integrate art into daily commutes, turning the bustling underground environment into an immersive cultural experience.

This "Haring Cross" event follows the release of the Absolut Haring Artist Edition bottle, designed with Haring's characteristic style and available in the UK from September. Liam Murphy, Marketing Director for Pernod Ricard UK, highlighted the activation's creative and joyful nature, fitting with Absolut's legacy of artistic collaborations that began in 1985 with Andy Warhol.
