AccessibleAI Audits Travel Booking Sites for Accessibility
AccessibleAI now offers WCAG compliance audits for travel industry booking portals and apps. Meeting regulatory standards unlocks new markets and customer segments.

AccessibleAI has expanded its services to include digital booking portals and applications within the travel industry, aligning with the EU's Digital Accessibility Law (BFSG). The new service assists companies in ensuring their websites and apps meet accessibility requirements, particularly for users facing visual or functional challenges.
The legislation, effective since June 2025, mandates that airline, hotel, and tour operator websites comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. AccessibleAI's solutions aim to identify and rectify common barriers, such as inaccessible date pickers, complex filter functions, and map services lacking text alternatives.
"Digital travel search and booking has become the norm, and individuals with disabilities have the right to fully participate in this process," stated Thomas Huhn, CEO of accessibleAI. "Our goal is to make travel more accessible for everyone."
Over 15% of the global population, and a significant portion of travelers, have some form of disability. Providing an accessible digital service is not only a legal requirement but also a considerable economic opportunity, with the accessible tourism market estimated to be worth over €50 billion annually in Europe.
AccessibleAI provides tools and expertise to help businesses evaluate and improve the accessibility of their digital services, ensuring regulatory compliance and expanding their potential customer base.
