Acer Launches Shadow Knight Dragon 8 Pro Gaming Laptop in China
Acer has launched its "Shadow Knight Dragon 8 Pro" gaming laptop in China, known internationally as the Nitro 16. The device is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card.
On August 25, the Chinese tech portal IT之家 reported that Acer's "Shadow Knight Dragon 8 Pro" gaming laptop is now available for its initial sale in China. The model is globally recognized as the Nitro 16 (AN16-A91).
The configuration offered for the Chinese market includes 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. The price is set at 22,999 yuan (approximately $3,150 USD), with potential government subsidies applicable.
The laptop features an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU. It sports a 16-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
According to Acer, the cooling system utilizes dual fans and five heat pipes, enabling a total system power release of up to 215W. The laptop also includes a metal chassis with a gradient lighting logo, a four-zone RGB keyboard with 2.0mm key travel, a FHD IR camera, 2.5GbE Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, dual USB4 ports, and a 92Whr battery.
