WaterTech company ACO is presenting its range of products for sophisticated open space design at the 25th anniversary edition of the GaLaBau trade fair in Nuremberg, held from September 11 to 14, 2024. The company emphasizes a holistic approach to rainwater management through its ACO WaterCycle concept, which covers drainage, purification, storage, and reuse of rainwater.

A key focus is the 'Intensive Care for Trees' solution, designed to optimally utilize rainwater during dry periods for irrigating city trees and promoting plant health. This system now incorporates sensors to digitally measure moisture content within tree root zones, transmitting data to a dashboard for analysis via LoRaWAN radio network.

Another highlight is the 'ClimateBoxx' planting and tree system, available in Corten steel or Designpanel AluWood. These approximately 3m³ cuboid structures with integrated irrigation are designed to be visually striking elements in pedestrian zones, contributing to urban greenery.

The company is also displaying drainage channels such as the ACO DRAIN® Multiline NX, made from high-performance concrete NEXITE®, and ACO Profiline facade drains for flat roofs, green roofs, balconies, and terraces. A new product, the Schwammstadt Straßenablauf (sponge city street gully), offers flexible adaptation to specific project needs, featuring an integrated slide valve for seasonal water management.

Furthermore, ACO is exhibiting its ACO Stormclean system for rainwater treatment, which removes suspended solids, heavy metals, and light liquids before infiltration or discharge into water bodies. Underground water storage solutions like the ACO Stormbrixx block infiltration trenches are also featured, functioning as sponges during heavy rainfall and for irrigation during dry spells.
