Action Game ICEY Sequel Crowdfunding Surpasses 18 Million Yuan

Crowdfunding for "ICEY:续", the sequel to the Chinese action game ICEY, has surpassed 18 million yuan (approximately $2.5 million USD) just two days after its launch. The game is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.

The game, whose developer is known as "Old Mark Xiao", began its crowdfunding campaign on October 1. The original ICEY was released a decade ago and was recognized for its unique narrative voice and fast-paced combat.

According to the development team, their core objective is to ensure the timely delivery of the version set to launch on May 1, 2026. They also plan to produce additional free DLCs, bosses, and CGI sequences. The team expressed gratitude for the player support.

The original ICEY, launched in 2016, received "Very Positive" reviews on the Steam platform and was nominated for several awards, including Best Independent Game at the 2016 Tokyo Game Show.
