Actor Gedeon Burkhard Joins 'Promi Big Brother' for Financial Reasons
Actor Gedeon Burkhard has spoken openly about joining the reality show 'Promi Big Brother' due to career and financial struggles. He admits that money was a significant factor in his decision.

Actor Gedeon Burkhard, widely recognized for his role in the crime series "Kommissar Rex," has revealed his participation in the SAT.1 reality television show "Promi Big Brother." Burkhard, 57, told the newspaper "Bild" that he has been experiencing a shortage of acting offers in recent years. He views the COVID-19 pandemic as a turning point in his career, after which job opportunities have continuously declined.
Burkhard stated that he cannot fully explain why he is no longer being cast in roles. However, he wishes to continue working and demonstrate his personal growth and maturity. His appearance on "Promi Big Brother" offers him a platform to showcase his "other work" to the public.
Financial considerations played a substantial role in Burkhard's decision to accept the show's offer. "At least 50 percent of the decision to participate was about money," he admitted. "I really need the money." Burkhard clarified, however, that he is not bankrupt and can afford his rent.
The actor also discussed his personal life, revealing he is in a relationship with two women. The three, along with Burkhard's mother, reside together in a Berlin apartment. He described his relationship model as a "happy harbor" for everyone involved, emphasizing freedom and mutual happiness. Burkhard consulted with his partners about what he could disclose on the show to protect them.
