Actress Isabell Horn Joins Florian Silbereisen on ZDF's 'Traumschiff'

German broadcaster ZDF has confirmed that actress Isabell Horn will join the cast of its popular series 'Traumschiff' (The Dream Ship) for an upcoming episode. Horn will star alongside Florian Silbereisen, who plays the ship's captain, in a segment filmed in South Africa. The series is known for featuring guest stars who bring new storylines and personalities aboard the vessel.

Horn, recognized for her roles in shows like 'Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten' and 'Bettys Diagnose', described the role as a childhood dream come true, which arrived unexpectedly. She received the offer from ZDF while in the midst of relocating her family from Sweden back to Germany, a move that disrupted their plans. Despite the challenges of filming away from her family, Horn expressed her excitement about participating in the long-running cult series.

"Sometimes roles arrive at exactly the right time – even if they mess up all your plans," Horn told German media. She and her family had moved to Sweden in late 2023 but faced integration difficulties and missed their familiar support network in Germany. This new role presents an opportunity to blend her professional aspirations with her personal journey.

The episode, titled 'Traumschiff: Afrika: Madikwe,' is slated for broadcast in autumn 2025. Previous 'Traumschiff' installments have often explored complex relationships and personal journeys against the backdrop of exotic locales.
