ACV Automobil-Club Verkehr has initiated its new online campaign titled "ATZE-V," featuring German comedian Atze Schröder as a traffic expert. The campaign's five short comedy episodes are being released online and across social media platforms.
The sketches, which depict Schröder's character in bizarre traffic scenarios and his attempts to educate drivers, are part of a broader strategy to enhance the club's brand. Episodes cover themes such as wild camping, meteorite impacts, and driving lessons, all presented with a humorous approach.
As stated by ACV's Marketing Director Helen Pichler, the campaign specifically targets younger audiences and aims to differentiate the club from its competitors. The "ATZE-V" campaign website also offers users tips and a chance to win items from the series, including a club cart in the characters' signature style.
ACV, Germany's third-largest automobile club with over 310,000 members, seeks to broaden its image beyond roadside assistance to that of a comprehensive traffic safety advocate. The campaign leverages digital channels like websites and social media to reach its intended audience.
