AddSecure Guides Installers on Accessing Retail Security Grants

AddSecure has launched a guide aimed at security installers, providing them with the knowledge to help retailers access security grants. The initiative is designed to assist independent retailers, who are experiencing significant losses due to theft, in securing funding to upgrade their modern security systems.

The guide stresses the importance for installers to initiate conversations with their clients early, even before grants are announced. It advises on identifying and recommending modern, IP-based systems that will meet grant eligibility criteria. Notably, it points out that older alarm systems reliant on the PSTN network are unlikely to qualify, especially with the PSTN switch-off scheduled for January 2027.

The publication focuses on the factors that make a security system grant-eligible. Key criteria include proven reliability, particularly IP-based alarm signalling with multi-path connectivity. Systems must also be future-proof and adaptable to changing network infrastructures, such as AddSecure's NGP platform. Clear return on investment (ROI) is also crucial, helping clients demonstrate how enhanced security reduces losses and insurance costs.

AddSecure encourages installers to develop a new service by supporting their clients through the grant application process.
