AddSecure Introduces "Safety Score" Index to Enhance Driver Safety
AddSecure has launched the "Safety Score" index, a new feature for its video telematics solution that assesses driver behavior using onboard cameras to improve road safety.

Stockholm โ October 02, 2025 โ AddSecure, a European provider of secure IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions, announced the integration of its "Safety Score" driver safety index into its video telematics offering. The new feature aims to enhance safety for professional drivers in the road transport sector.
The "Safety Score" utilizes onboard cameras to detect and analyze events related to driver behavior and vehicle operation. These include indications of fatigue, distraction, non-use of seatbelts, and sudden braking. The collected data is compiled into dynamic reports accessible to fleet managers through AddSecure's software platform.
"The Safety Score allows a shift from hundreds of daily alerts to compiled and analyzed data, providing a comprehensive and actionable indicator for managers," stated Johan Norrman, Vice President Products & Technology, Smart Transport at AddSecure. "This enables the immediate identification of risky driving behaviors that require specific support."
The service offers dashboards on AddSecure's web portal, providing an overview of fleet-wide scores as well as continuously updated individual driver ratings. Users can track trends, compare performance, and receive real-time alerts. The solution is designed to help transport companies prioritize driver training and foster a proactive road safety strategy, moving beyond a surveillance-based approach to one focused on coaching and prevention.
