The collaboration combines Schmitz Cargobull's trailer manufacturing expertise with AddSecure's IoT connectivity and end-to-end solutions to enhance fleet management for transport and logistics companies.
Building on previous successful collaborations, the partnership will extend their joint sales approach. It allows for the integration of tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) data from Schmitz Cargobull trailers with telematics data from equipped trucks. This integration aims to streamline operations and improve data connectivity for mutual customers.
Transport and logistics companies will gain access to a unified application that transfers telematics data from Schmitz Cargobull trailers and trucks directly into AddSecure's FleetVision portal via Schmitz Cargobull's TrailerConnect® Data Management Center. This setup requires no additional hardware or manual configuration, ensuring immediate usability upon delivery.
The companies also plan to deepen their cooperation on retrofit solutions for cold chain transport. This future initiative aims to support safer, more sustainable, and efficient fleet operations. The immediate benefit for customers is a reduction in IT workload and enhanced data integration.
