AddSecure to Continue BT Redcare Alarm Services in UK
AddSecure will take over responsibility for BT Redcare's alarm signalling services in the UK as BT exits the market. The agreement ensures service continuity and migration support for existing customers.
AddSecure, a European provider of secure IoT connectivity and alarm signalling solutions, has entered into a collaboration agreement with BT Redcare to continue its Next Generation alarm signalling services in the UK. BT Redcare plans to cease operations in August 2025.
Through this partnership, AddSecure will assume responsibility for customer relationships with alarm receiving centres currently using BT Redcare's Next Generation portfolio. This agreement allows AddSecure to leverage its expertise and expand its business model into the UK market, offering All-IP based solutions over fibre and 4G networks.
AddSecure and BT aim to ensure a seamless transition for BT Redcare customers who choose to migrate. Customers will benefit from service continuity provided by an industry-leading expert. Both parties will prioritize the transition from legacy alarm platforms to digital ones, offering high-quality service and support.
Wim Harthoorn, Director of Sales for Smart Alarms at AddSecure, stated that existing services will continue without interruption. Simon Warner, Director of UK Portfolio Businesses at BT, expressed satisfaction with the agreement and emphasized support for existing customers during the transition.
