AddSecure urges installers to prepare for 4G/5G network shift
Network shutdowns are accelerating the transition to new technologies. AddSecure has released a guide for installers.

AddSecure is urging installers of alarm systems and other critical communication systems to prepare for an accelerating technology shift. Across Europe, older 2G and 3G networks are being decommissioned, requiring compatibility to be ensured for customer systems.
The company states that hundreds of thousands of socially critical systems, such as fire, elevator, and intruder alarms, rely on outdated technology. Installers must now map customer devices using 2G or 3G technology and inform them about necessary upgrades.
AddSecure recommends that installers be proactive and regularly check system compatibility. For new installations and technology changes, products and devices supporting newer 4G or 5G technology must be deployed.
The company has released a guide to assist installers in navigating this technological transition, aiming to ensure critical communication systems remain operational in the future.
