Adecco Group: AI Remodels Work, Requiring Hybrid Workforce Orchestration
A new whitepaper by Adecco Group highlights the necessity for companies to reshape workflows to maximize AI adoption and manage human-AI collaboration.

Adecco Group has released a new whitepaper examining the transformative impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the world of work and introducing the concept of "hybrid workforce orchestration."
The report identifies corporate inertia in adapting to AI-driven changes as a significant risk to the global economy. While AI is creating new jobs and altering tasks faster than it eliminates them, its integration into core business processes remains limited. Only 18% of U.S. and 20% of European companies have extensively integrated AI into their operations, leaving substantial room for future transformation.
The whitepaper, "On the threshold: AI, the future of work and the rise of hybrid labor markets," developed in partnership with Altermind, proposes a new management discipline: hybrid workforce orchestration. This approach aims to redesign workflows so that humans, AI agents, and physical AI systems collaborate to achieve maximum value and effectiveness.
Adecco Group CEO Denis Machuel emphasizes the importance of understanding human roles, AI capabilities, and skill evolution in the AI era. "Our mission is to advance the human side of AI transformation and ensure technology creates real value for employees and businesses," Machuel stated.
The report indicates that AI has already contributed to the creation of new jobs and the reshaping of tasks. However, the level of integration varies significantly across industries and organizations, underscoring the need for a coordinated approach to the future labor market.
