Adient Reports 2026 Fiscal Results and Outlines 2027 Outlook
Adient announced its 2026 full-year and fourth-quarter financial results, reporting $222 million in free cash flow and plans for margin expansion in the coming year.

Adient, a global manufacturer of automotive seating, posted a fourth-quarter 2026 GAAP net loss of $47 million, despite an adjusted net income of $40 million. For the full fiscal year, the company generated $222 million in free cash flow, supporting ongoing efforts to manage debt levels.
The company’s balance sheet activity during the quarter included $45 million in share repurchases and $35 million in debt repayment. Adient also completed a $500 million add-on to its Term Loan B to refinance senior secured notes, maintaining approximately $886 million in cash and cash equivalents as of September 30, 2026.
Looking toward 2027, Adient projects modest improvement in adjusted EBITDA margins. However, leadership anticipates a slight decrease in overall revenue, citing ongoing market pressures including increased competition from Chinese automotive manufacturers and broader economic volatility.
