The 2026 edition of ADIPEC has opened in Abu Dhabi, drawing leaders from the energy, government, and technology sectors to address supply chain vulnerabilities and the integration of new technologies. The conference focuses on strengthening energy system resilience against a backdrop of geopolitical shifts and rising global demand.

ADNOC Group CEO Sultan Al Jaber outlined a strategy for future-proofing the industry, citing the need for expanded strategic reserves, optimized logistics, and AI-driven operational systems. Al Jaber emphasized that resilience is built through proactive planning and the use of intelligent systems to anticipate market disruptions, rather than reactive measures.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman provided a tech-industry perspective on the dialogue, identifying abundant and reliable energy as a fundamental requirement for scaling AI infrastructure. Altman pointed to the UAE as a key environment for adopting technologies that could facilitate future economic growth.

As the largest iteration in the event's history, ADIPEC 2026 features over 2,200 exhibitors. The four-day summit aims to finalize investment frameworks and technical partnerships necessary to support long-term energy stability.
