Adobe Adds AI-Focused Interface to Photoshop Beta

Adobe is rolling out a significant update for its image editing software, Photoshop, with a strong emphasis on integrating artificial intelligence (AI). A new, optional 'AI Assisted Editor' view will bring all of the program's AI-powered features into a single, centralized toolbar.

The interface, currently in beta, will include functionalities such as prompt-based image editing, background removal, and AI-driven image extension. The aim is to simplify and accelerate complex editing tasks for users.

Further refining edits with AI, the update introduces a 'markup' feature. This allows users to draw directly on an image to indicate desired changes to the AI assistant. Users can select areas for recoloring, sketch arrows to denote position, or suggest new elements without needing to use text prompts.

These new tools are designed to make Photoshop more accessible to both novice and experienced users. By integrating AI, Adobe seeks to automate time-consuming processes, freeing up creative professionals to focus more on the creative aspects of their work.
