Adobe Adjusts Strategy Based on Creator Feedback

Software company Adobe has altered its business strategy in response to recurring feedback from creators. The company has recognized that creators are increasingly acting as entrepreneurs, requiring support for managing their businesses, not just for their creative output.

Mike Polner, Adobe's vice president of product marketing for creators, stated that the company consistently hears from creators that they want to reduce time spent on day-to-day operational tasks. He described today's creators as entrepreneurs and small business owners managing multiple facets of their ventures.

This strategic reframe moves from viewing creators as mere talent to recognizing them as founders. This perspective helps Adobe develop products that aim to give creators back time, allowing them to focus on the core business activities that only they can perform.

Adobe's Creators' Toolkit Report indicates that 87 percent of creators using AI tools in their work reported that these tools accelerated their business or audience growth. This highlights that creators are measuring the value of tools by their impact on their company, not solely on their content creation capabilities.

Gigi Robinson, a creator who has used Adobe products since a young age, supports this shift. She explained how Adobe's suite has enabled her to expand her business to include speaking engagements, hosted events, a newsletter, and a podcast, effectively making her a better entrepreneur and inspiring others.
