ADUSA Supply Chain Opens New Distribution Center in Connecticut

ADUSA Supply Chain has opened a new 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Manchester, Connecticut. The facility, which began operations in September 2021, will handle 88 million cases of nonperishable grocery products annually for more than 450 Stop & Shop stores and e-commerce fulfillment centers.

The opening of the Manchester facility represents a significant expansion for Ahold Delhaize USA's supply chain network. It aims to enhance delivery efficiency and speed up the process of getting products to consumers, incorporating advanced technology to support food distribution.

The center utilizes technology from Manhattan Associates, including warehouse management solutions, and forecasting and replenishment technology from RELEX Solutions. These systems are designed to increase accuracy in transportation and labor management, improve inventory availability, and reduce food waste.

The facility is expected to employ over 500 people once fully operational. Manchester is also the first ADUSA Supply Chain facility to showcase the new brand identity, emphasizing its commitment to reliable delivery.
