Medical technology firm AMS Group has implemented ARTEC IT Solutions' EMA platform to standardize email storage and compliance across its international operations.
Advanced Medical Solutions Group (AMS) has deployed the EMA email archiving system from ARTEC IT Solutions to streamline its information management following a series of corporate acquisitions. The group sought a unified, compliant, and secure way to manage email communications across its seven international locations.
Jonathan Orme, IS Support Manager at AMS, noted that the company required a solution capable of meeting stringent regulatory standards while providing reliable long-term data storage. The decision to select the EMA system was influenced by positive results from the group’s German subsidiary, RESORBA Medical, which had previously integrated the technology.
The deployment was completed within a single weekend, integrating into the existing Lotus Notes infrastructure without disrupting daily operations. The system now automatically archives all incoming and outgoing messages, providing a secure, searchable repository for the company’s IT staff.
Beyond basic storage, the EMA system provides features such as secure encryption, electronic time-stamping, and compatibility with various storage configurations. These capabilities allow the IT department to retrieve historical correspondence within seconds, ensuring business continuity and regulatory compliance even when personnel change.
