Cybersecurity firm Advenica has adopted the eight Secure Connectivity Principles for Operational Technology (OT) recently released by the UK's National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-UK). Advenica states that the company has already been implementing these principles in its solutions for decades.

The NCSC-UK released the principles in collaboration with international partners to enhance the security of operational systems, such as industrial automation and infrastructure monitoring. The principles focus on balancing risks and opportunities, limiting the exposure of connections, and centralizing and standardizing network connections, among other aspects.

Advenica offers solutions that support these principles, emphasizing the importance of risk management and recommending the use of standardized frameworks like ISO 27000 or IEC 62443. Their product range includes remote access devices with two-factor authentication and data diodes that prevent external connections from initiating contact with the OT network.

Furthermore, Advenica highlights the risks associated with obsolete equipment and provides solutions such as the DD500E data diode to isolate such devices while maintaining connectivity. The company also develops hardware-based IP encryption systems designed to minimize attack vectors and protect critical networks.
