AeroVironment Class Action Lawsuit Deadline Approaching for Investors

A class action lawsuit has been filed against AeroVironment, Inc. and certain of its executives, alleging violations of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The suit centers on claims that the company made false or misleading statements and failed to disclose material information regarding its business and financial prospects.

The lawsuit alleges that AeroVironment misrepresented its position and future outlook concerning its involvement in the U.S. Space Force's SCAR (Satellite Communication Augmentation Resource) program. A key event cited is the January 20, 2026, announcement that the U.S. government issued a stop-work order on AeroVironment's agreement to deliver BADGER systems for the SCAR program. Following this news, the company's stock price reportedly fell by nearly 16 percent.

Further complicating matters, a March 2, 2026, report indicated that the U.S. Space Force was reopening the SCAR program for reassessment and a new acquisition strategy. This news reportedly caused AeroVironment's stock to decline by more than 17 percent.

AeroVironment subsequently announced its third-quarter fiscal year 2026 financial results on March 10, 2026. The company reported an operating loss of $179 million, a significant increase from the $3.1 million operating loss in the prior year's same period. The results were impacted by a $151.3 million goodwill impairment in its space division, linked to the stop-work order and subsequent termination of its contract for the SCAR program. The stock fell an additional 6 percent on this news, according to the complaint.

Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP is representing investors who purchased or acquired AeroVironment securities during the class period. Potential lead plaintiffs must submit their information to the law firm by the July 27, 2026, deadline.
