AFRY awarded design contract for Vietnam LNG-to-Power project

AFRY has been appointed as the International Technical Advisor (ITA) for the 1.5 GW Thai Binh LNG-to-Power project located in Hung Yen, Vietnam. The scope of work includes technical advisory services for both offshore and onshore infrastructure, along with broader support throughout the project's development phase.

The project aims to address Vietnam's growing electricity demand by supporting the development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, thereby strengthening the nation's power generation capacity. AFRY's remit encompasses technical advisory for the offshore LNG receiving infrastructure and the combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant, including subsea gas pipelines.

This contract signifies AFRY's role in facilitating energy transition initiatives in Southeast Asia. The development of LNG facilities is crucial for regions seeking to diversify their energy mix and reduce reliance on traditional fossil fuels.
