AFRY selected for supervision services on ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG rail project

AFRY has been commissioned by ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG to provide site supervision and construction oversight services for the modernization of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn railway corridor in Austria. The line connects Vienna with northern Austria and the Czech border.

This assignment is part of a broader infrastructure investment program aimed at upgrading the railway between Vienna and Gmünd. The project seeks to improve capacity, operational reliability, and service quality for both passenger and freight transport.

The modernization efforts include upgrades to tracks, overhead line systems, and supporting infrastructure, along with improvements to stations and other rail assets. AFRY's responsibilities encompass quality assurance, contract and time management, project management, and billing.

The project is scheduled to run until December 31, 2028. Through its services, AFRY will contribute to ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of infrastructure upgrades across key sections of the line.
