AFTRAL tests AI agent within Sage X3 ERP system
French transport and logistics training organization AFTRAL is piloting the Sage Copilot AI agent, integrated into its Sage X3 ERP system. The goal is to enhance user efficiency and streamline operations.

AFTRAL, a leading French organization for training in transport and logistics professions, is conducting a pilot test of the Sage Copilot AI agent integrated within its Sage X3 enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. This move aims to leverage artificial intelligence to boost operational efficiency.
AFTRAL trains over 300,000 trainees and nearly 11,000 apprentices annually in transport, logistics, and material handling. José Campos, AFTRAL's IT Director, expressed enthusiasm for the integration, highlighting how it transforms user interaction with the ERP system. He noted that AI offers significant comfort to users by allowing them to obtain answers to specific questions using natural language queries, eliminating the need to navigate through multiple menus.
The integration of Sage Copilot is expected to streamline tasks and improve overall productivity for AFTRAL's staff. This initiative follows AFTRAL's earlier migration to Sage X3 Cloud, a move undertaken to enhance system performance and security. The organization also uses its ERP system for financial, purchasing, and expense management modules.
AFTRAL's proactive approach to technology adoption includes staying current with ERP updates to benefit from new features, such as preparations for electronic invoicing compliance. The pilot of Sage Copilot signifies a commitment to exploring advanced AI capabilities to further optimize its business processes and training services.
